Makes real good sense to me…I have been wishing for this integration for a long time. I see data storage only useful when actionable…this would simplify my life a bit more!

Good to see I am not alone on this one! Thanks for the comment.

I agree. They have it work like that on the Android and iPhone so why not the web based one?

I agree, it would be awesome if you could just open a map up and see ALL your contacts mapped out on it….

This web page doesn’t seem to work anymore. Bummer!

I’ve been thinking about exactly the same thing! Google might use the “My maps” function of Google Maps and simply create a personal map that automatically fishes addresses from Google Contacts. How hard can it be! It’s Google!

I’ve been wanting this for years. What would be really cool is if they came out with their own GPS that would integrate your contacts. That way when you’re going to Billy’s house, Jonny’s house may pop up on your way and you could visit him as well.

That indeed would be awesome. My buddy’s built in GPS in his car has that exact feature.

could be very useful! especially for customers

Agreed. This is super annoying especially when you’re travelling in a strange city/foreign country and have to look up a lot of friends or relatives’ addresses. You can save them to a custom map but editing “My Maps” is also a huge pain in the neck, the other major weakness of Google Maps.

Still can’t search in maps but you can search for your contacts in Google.com (or the Chrome omnibox) and your contact’s info will pop up to the right of the main search results and you can click on their address from there. So it’s obviously not a privacy thing.

C’mon Google, this is such a no-brainer of a feature.
